Iran Can Manufacture Naval Equipment Locally

Commander Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari who is a part of the Iran’s Navy industry says that Islamic Republic has become capable and independent enough to start its own manufacturing on naval equipments.

Sayyari has reported to have said “We are now entirely capable of manufacturing naval equipment inside the country,” he further went on talking about fully utilizing the skills and capabilities of Iranian experts. He realized that Iran now has its own bunch of young minds and young scientists who are trained and educated enough to manufacture naval equipments and machineries on their own, thus eliminating the need to take help and assistance from other countries. Sayyari also said that last month the Islamic Republic learnt the know-how to design and manufacture aircrafts carriers.

The commander argued that Iran’s defense system and strategies are planned and formulated very differently; its basic aim is to serve the national interests. In short the policies of Iran differ greatly from those of colonialists and further oppose the expansionist policies as well. Almost about 30-years ago when Iran won the Islamic revolution, since then the country has started large number of military projects and also came up with self sufficiency campaigns in the defense industry. Jamaran, the first domestic destroyer was manufactured in 2010 in the waters of Gulf by Iran. The destroyer weighs around 1,420 tons and is equipped with modern radars and other electronic warfare capabilities. Also, in 2007 a submarine was introduced named Ghadir.
